The Impact Model
Make Good Places donates 10% of its profits to a rotating set of nonprofits championing intersectional solutions across scales.
The current nonprofits are:
- Woodwell Climate Research Center: a Massachusetts-based nonprofit working towards equitable, science-based solutions to the climate crisis on a global scale through research, education, advocacy, and partnerships
- New Economy Coalition: an organization committed to bringing networks of non-profits, mission-driven businesses, and community groups together across the United States to accelerate a just transition to a regenerative solidarity economy
- GreenWave: a nonprofit pioneering and scaling regenerative ocean farming through research, training, and market development, with a focus on empowering under-resourced communities
- Marley's Mutts Pawsitive Change Program: through a partnership with California state prisons, the Pawsitive Change Program rescues dogs at risk of euthanasia and pairs them with incarcerated individuals for a 14-week training program that provides hope and rehabilitation for people and pets
